What is circumcision?

Male circumcision is the removal of the foreskin which covers the head (corona) of the penis.

Circumcision is a surgical procedure as with other procedures in surgery and medicine; circumcision removes the prepuce (also known as the foreskin) which covers the head (glans) over the penis

Do you use the Plastibell or ring?

Many have read about and enquire require the Plastibell or ring.

Is it painful to be circumcised?

Once the dressings have been removed, usually on the day after circumcision procedure, the normal appearance is red and raw which gradually settles over the next 14-21 days, as with other wound healing in nature.

Prevention balanitis (glans inflammation) and balanoposthitis (glans and prepuce foreskin inflammation).
Reduced risk of UTI urinary tract infections.
Reduced risk some STD sexually transmitted diseases in men.
Protection against penile cancer
Reduced risk of cervical cancer in female sex partners.

Are there any complications following a Circumcision?

Complications are rare. Occasionally there is bleeding or swelling. Other complications may include infection, meatal ulcer or stenosis, & reop.
